Dave Angell's On30 Modules Picture Gallery

Dave Angell was a very talented model railway enthusiast, whose various layouts appeared in the modelling press and the exhibition circuit over many years. His On30 Texas Santa Fe & Northern Railroad layout in his garage is the subject of another On30 Gallery, but Dave was also one of the founder members of the Slim Gauge Circle's On30 Track & Trestle Modular Group, generally referred to as the OTT. He completed two 4ft by 2ft 6ins interconnected modules, one with a stamp mill and the other with an oil drilling set-up. These were taken to several exhibitions and Running Days, where they were incorporated into the large layout set up for the day with other Slim gauge members. Shortly before he passed away in 2015, Dave had been working on a new section of his garage layout to enable him to connect his two modules, but while he had it working, sadly, this section was never finished. However, his vision, and his undeniable modelling skills, live on through his work. Richard Coney now is the custodian of the modules and a third board Dave was working on, featuring a trestle bridge, which he shows occasionally in Dave's memory, together with examples of his locos and rolling stock.
