The 7mm Narrow Gauge Association aims to encourage the modelling of
narrow gauge railways at a scale of or around 7mm to 1 foot (1:43)

The Raccoon Creek Mining & Lumber Company is a working title for my ever expanding On30 garage-based, modular railroad. I am a member of both the 7mmNGA and also the multi-scale, multi-gauge American narrow gauge club, 'The Slim Gauge Circle' (SGC). The layout consists of individual portable modules, nominally 4ft long, but of varying widths, which are part of the SGC's On30 Track & Trestle Modular Group (OTT). Following the untimely death of Dave Angell, whose modules and Texas Santa Fe & Northern Railroad garage layout have their own Gallery sections, I acquired his three modules, which we have continued to exhibit in his memory. However, having cleared sufficient space in my garage to expand my plans for a large circular On30 layout, based on the OTT modular standards, Dave's modules, plus my own, now have the makings of a circular layout some 19ft by 7ft, with a additional 4ft board tagged on one end. Each board can be removed and added to any other built to the OTT's published standards, but we are now finalising the semi-permanent configuration which will make the most of the confined interior of my garage. Photos will be added as work progresses and may include some taken before changes were made to modules to provide better operation, or in one case, an accident which resulted in damage to a module and forced a rethink.
