Coronavirus: Association services

An update for Members.

We clearly live in unusual times. While no one could claim that Modelling could be high in the nation's priorities, nevertheless it's a resource, and a way of keeping occupied, and sane, with many of us 'self-isolating'. Think of the resource offered by that drawer-full of half-completed or unstarted kits?

The Association's Sales Officers (Modelling Goods, Publications, and On30 Depot) remain open for your business as, at the moment, there seems to be no threat to postal services.

The Association's Executive and Officers are appointed annually, at the AGM in June. That is unlikely to happen this year, but the Chairman is in contact with Burton Town Hall, and we'll keep you posted. I won't bore you with the details, but our Constitution nevertheless provides for such contingency, subject to approval by a subsequent Committee meeting, and AGM, so we will carry on, with some changes of personnel, notably our esteemed Chairman, Neil Smith, standing down. He certainly deserves the Vote of Thanks he would receive at Burton for all his service to the Association - which will continue with sales of Modelling Goods!

In the meantime, our best wishes to you all, and your loved ones.
Heed the Advice. Stay safe. Keep in touch with other Members, especially if you know they are on their own.
