The Texas Santa Fe & Northern Railroad Lives On

Now in the hands of two Association members, the late Dave Angell's On30 layout is being reborn in two locations!

Very often after someone passes away, their cherished model railway layout is disposed of or destroyed by the family, who, quite honestly, don't know what to do with it. Not in this case, as the late Dave Angell's extensive garage-built On30 Texas Santa Fe & Northern Railroad was, last summer, disassembled into its five separate boards and bought by two members of the Association with plans to combine their halves with their existing modular boards.

Jon Evans and Richard Coney, from Basinstoke, Hampshire and Ruislip, Middlesex respectively, have divided Dave's largely complete layout into two sections, which will be modified as necessary to connect with their On30 modules. In the last few months, Richard has connected one end of his half of the layout to his modules and built new transition boards at the other end, in anticipation of connecting both the mainline and the highline, ophaned when the layout was divided. Richard has also been posting photos of his section of the layout, together with much of Dave's rolling stock, to one of the popular On30 Facebook Groups. He's now uploaded a new photo album, , "The Texas Santa Fe & Northern Railroad Reborn", including many of these photos. Check it out in the On30 Gallery section.
