On30 Depot - Sales

The Association, through the On30 Depot, is pleased to offer the following items for sale to members only.

Not yet a member? Click here to join the leading Association for Narrow Gauge Modellers in the scales around 1/4inch and 7mm to the foot.

What is available?

Most items are Bachmann US products (for more information on this range, please see here), but there will also be items from other manufacturers, both American and British, models built using OO/HO chassis with kit-built On30 bodies and the occasional scratch built item. The condition of items the Association is offered for re-sale varies enormously, from as-new, mint and boxed to projects needing some serious care and attention. Full details are available for each item. Some items may be placed in our 'Rip Track' section if you are looking for a bargain or a challenge. (Rip Track is a common American railroad term meaning "Repair in Place").

Where to see what is available?

Unfortunately, due to the large number of items bought and sold and the limitations of available volunteer time, it is not possible to provide a full listing of items on this website. A listing is placed in each edition of Narrow News and On30 Depot Sales may be found at a good number of the specialist narrow gauge exhibitions in England. Again, details are shown in Narrow News. Details of how to order are shown below. If you have any queries or specific wants, please contact the Depot Sales Officer, Richard Coney at who will do his best to help. A few special items may be made available through this page -see details below.

How to buy from the On30 Depot?

Purchases may of course be made at exhibitions. Details of how to purchase are also given with the listing in Narrow News. Email orders to the Depot Sales Officer, Richard Coney at . Postage and packaging will be charged in addition to the price of the items in your order. We will offer a choice of Royal Mail postage rates, from basic Second Class, through to Special Next Day Delivery, depending upon the value of the item(s) and how quickly you wish to receive the goods. These can be discussed and a quote provided. Please rest assured that when possible we do not charge for packaging. Where we might very occasionally have to obtain special materials any packaging charge will be nominal, to help to pay for packaging materials (e.g. bubble wrap), tape etc. We recycle packaging materials where possible to keep the costs down. Unlike some sellers, on eBay, for example, we do not attempt to make more money on the P&P charges.

All current members receive a 10% discount on items sold through the On30 Depot.

How to sell items to the On30 Depot?

We are always looking for more On30 items, which we can re-sell to Association members. Whether they are Bachmann locos, freight and passenger cars or conversion kits, 1:48 scale building kits, track, switches (points) etc., we may be interested. Ideally we are seeking mint and boxed examples, but contact us if you have any surplus items you think may be of interest. You can be certain we will offer a fair price for your surplus models.

Contact the Depot Superintendent, Richard Coney at with details of what you wish to sell. He will decide whether to accept the items concerned and offer a valuation. The Sales Officer's decision is final and items will only be purchased outright by the Association. Payment can be made to the seller by Association cheque, by bank transfer, by PayPal or, by prior arrangement, by cash at an exhibition. Items remain the property of the seller until the Association has paid for them.
