This 64 page Handbook covers the conversion and construction of rolling stock and was published in 2005.
It was prepared to offer ideas for adding a variety of wagons and coaches to modellers' collections. Chapters are included describing models of prototype vehicles, being scratchbuilt, assembled from kits, using a combination of both methods, or purchased "ready to run". Other chapters offer ideas for freelance construction of "imagineered" rolling stock and the adaption of kits or models designed for other scales and gauges. Some of the chapters are based on articles previously published in our magazine Narrow Lines, brought up to date as appropriate, the remainder being specially written for this Handbook. Wherever practical drawings and photographs have been included to aid construction and, again wherever possible, photographs have been included of the finished models. Most illustrations are in black & white but there are also some in colour.
A list of sources and traders mentioned is included obviously as was correct at the time of publication.
